Jutta has been integrating Western and Eastern medical philosophies for over 20 years. In her native Germany, she worked as a pediatric ICU nurse and in 1992 received a degree in Alternative Medicine (Heilpraktiker). She relocated to San Diego to attend the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, receiving her Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2000. She has been a practicing acupuncturist in San Diego ever since.

The kuhnClinic blends Jutta’s Western, Eastern, and Alternative Medicine education and experience, to the benefit of her patients.

At the kuhnClinic, each patient is an individual, with unique needs and goals. Jutta carefully assesses each patient, using patient history, personal interview, and Eastern diagnosis methods (pulse and tongue). As appropriate, she may continue her diagnosis using Western methods, such as blood work, saliva tests, or other functional tests.

Her approach to treatment is the same: based on a patient’s needs, Jutta uses an appropriate mix of Japanese Acupuncture, other Oriental Medicine modalities, and herbal medicines or supplements to pursue a more functional medical approach.
